EUROPE’S MOST ADVANCED FRONT-LINE AMBULANCE
Our Dual Crewed Ambulance (DCA) is one of the most technologically advanced front-line vehicles available to the ambulance service today.
Using the latest composite construction methods, the DCA ambulance is not only lightweight but also incredibly strong.
DCA boasts outstanding attention to detail that customers have come to expect from VCS, ensuring vehicle use and maintenance is as simple as possible.
Based on the Fiat Ducato chassis, our DCA is fully compliant with the latest Lord Carter Review specifications.
-
Lightweight Construction
Using our pioneering Core Capture composite construction methods, the DCA is one of the lightest panel van-derived ambulances available. This has already been proven to deliver significant fuel savings and a reduction in harmful emissions for our existing customers.
The extensive use of recyclable composite materials and the latest engineering practices ensures that the DCA easily passes all associated strength tests and achieves a lower whole-life carbon footprint.
-
Attention to detail
Every element of the DCA has been designed around a busy ambulance crew and maintenance team.
Key features include lightweight internal lockers designed to absorb energy with recessed latches to prevent injury. The DCA’s integrated floor and seamless inner linings remove joins wherever possible, for easy cleaning.
The DCA’s air conditioning system is even integrated into the roof lining for direction air over each seated area and the stretcher.
-
Unrivalled safety
The safety of all occupants is of paramount importance, which is why the DCA’s design exceed CEN 1789 destruction requirements both dynamically and statically.
This is achieved by our pioneering Core Capture composite construction as well as enhanced safety systems in specific occupant survival zones in the saloon and cab area.
The quality of the DCA is certified by achieving European Whole Vehicle Type Approval.
